With 1 in 4 people affected by a mental health problem each year, it’s essential to have the training to support each other. By developing a greater understanding of common mental health conditions, as well as how best to support and guide someone to professional help, you can help reduce the stigma associated with mental health. The QA Level 2 Award in Understanding Mental Health in the Workplace is a specially designed, nationally recognised qualification that will give delegates a greater understanding of the importance of positive mental health and wellbeing in the workplace. It will help delegates understand the signs and symptoms of common mental health conditions, and how best to offer support and guidance to colleagues. Syllabus - Understanding Mental Health and its importance - Role and responsibilities for mental health in the workplace - Legislation associated with mental health in the workplace - Promoting positive mental health in the workplace - Common mental health conditions, including: - Work-related Stress - Anxiety - Eating disorders - Depression - Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) - Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) - Phobias - Bipolar - Psychosis - Suicide - Identifying key features within a mental health first aid at work action plan and listening techniques. Duration 1 day Location Virtual Classroom. Remote learning with a live tutor via zoom. Max Delegates 8 Certification Level 2 Award in Understanding Mental Health in the Workplace. Valid for 3 years.
